The recipe used for Land Run Seasoning was created by our
parents in the early 1960's for grilled
steaks and hamburgers. We grew up with the seasoning, and
our first remembrance around the age of ten, was one of
juicy, flavorful hamburgers.
In her retirement years, our
mother, Mary Sullivan, began manufacturing and marketing
the seasoning. Choosing an appropriate name for the seasoning had been
a frequent family discussion over the years. As it so happened,
the decision to start the company coincided with Oklahoma's
Centennial Celebration of the Cherokee Strip Land Run in
1993. The decision became an easy one. Mary, a native Oklahoman,
named her company "Land Run Seasoning".
Today, we are thrilled to see the Original
Blend used on a variety of foods, including chicken,
fish, ribs, and even venison. Our newest blend, Smoky
Pepper, is becoming a favorite party and vegetable dip.
